Shorter Monday

Work went without too much hassle today. We had a few boxes of clothing that needed to be stocked, and I spent the better part of the workday reorganizing, folding, hanging, etc. I didn't have much to do after that. My hours were cut a bit so now I'm leaving an hour before close. I guess it's just was well, as I was hardly working during that hour anyway.

Church, Halo, Mall, Movies, Halo… In That Order

After church, I spent some time playing Halo on the computer. I hadn't spent any time on it in a few weeks. I ended up spending the afternoon and evening with some friends. Someone I've become 'good friends' with was in attendance, I wasn't expecting to see her again so that was nice. I was introduced to a new 'friend of a friend' with a familiar name, she seemed like a nice person. We went to the mall for a while, and kinda just left, as the mall closes early on Sunday. We went to see a movie after, “Scary Movie 3.” It wasn't exactly a cinematic masterpiece, but it was funny and it was the only movie that started soon after arriving at the theater. After getting home, I played a little more Halo, making no progress, watched Carnivale, and went to bed.

Dinner and a Movie with Mommy and Daddy

I spent some of the morning hours at my dad's office, doing some odd jobs. I came home in the afternoon and got a few things done, including going to vote in the governor's election. That evening me and my parents went to dinner. We ate at a Thai place, a variety of food new to me. After that, we went to see “Runaway Jury.” The premise was facinating but the real fun was seeing my home town as the setting. I've only seen a handful of movies that take place in New Orleans, but this one did the best job. We stopped at Barnes & Noble afterward, and I bought a couple books I didn't need.

Standard-Issue Week

The past week has passed without catastrophic incident. Work has been fine, although I find myself less needed around the store, and I found at the end of the week that I'd be working 5 less hours a week. On Monday and Tuesday nights, I had some rather pecuilur rashes on my upper body, whose discomfort prevented me from sleeping. I spent a few evenings working on my new website, and have made some considerable progress.

Workin' for Doc

I spent most of the evening helping a doctor that works for my dad get some things set up in his apartment, including a computer and some assorted TV and stereo equipment. There was alot more lifting involved than I would have liked but it was more than bareable, and the compensation for my time was adequate.

Housework and Revolutions Again

I spent the first half of the day around the house doing various things like mopping, mowing the lawn, etc. Later in the evening I went out with a couple of friends to see The Matrix Revolutions again. Between seeing the movie again and reading discussions on the net, I got a much better impression of the movie and its' ending. I'm alot more pleased with it now. After the movie, we went to a crowded pizza buffet for a while.

Riding Uptown

Today afforded a little more variety than the average workday. Around noon, I took a shuttle bus to the uptown campus where I worked previously, as I needed to pick up my paycheck and that of my supervisor. This little trip took an hour out of my day. After taking lunch, I returned and we started moving things off the carpet as it was to be cleaned after close.

The Matrix Revolutions

Since last posting, a quiet weekend has passed. My brother was in town but I didn't see much of him. Work has been uneventful. This evening I went to see The Matrix Revolutions with my dad. It thought is was a decent movie although the ending was not quite to my liking. It was too open-ended for my tastes. I would not be surprised if this is not the last film… I would be dissapointed though.

Halloween in the French Quarter

After a pleasantly uneventful week at work, I spent the evening with a couple friends. For the most part, we wandered the marigny and the French Quarter, walking around and stopping by a number of places. We had dinner at 'Angeli' for dinner, a small and rather dark little restaurant. The food was quite good and reasonably priced. For the most part, we just wandered around and took in the sights. We considered going to a movie but decided not to and went home.

First Day at Medical

Today was my first day since transferring to the Tulane Medical Bookstore, although I did spend some time there last Friday. I have yet to be trained on their registers so I was confined to unremarkable tasks like removing labels from books and stocking pens. I did a bit of walking at lunch and ended up at McDonalds. The bus ride home was a chilli one, today was surprisingly brisk.

Tulane Loses…again/Quarter Outing

Tulane lost to Memphis rather badly this afternoon, we left the game early for the first time I can remember. A friend was in town from LA tech so myself and a few others spendthe evening wandering the french quarter. It was a 'colorful' evening to say the least. I'll refrain from providing and description, as it would be an inadequate depiction anyway.

Transferring?

Today was a rather pleasent day at work. Traffic through the store was mild so we were free to reorganize some things. I recieved two phone calls regarding coffee mugs that were broken through the mail. I was called into the office this afternoon as my boss wants me to transfer to the medical bookstore downtown. I told him that it would probably be ok, although I am reluctant for a number of reasons.

Sleeping In For A Change

This was my first weekday off in a rather long time. I slept in later than I care to admit. When I did get up, I did some work around the house including cleaning the kitchen and laundry. After cleaning myself, I made a nice omlette and watched 'Rob Roy,' a decent revenge movie staring Liam Neeson. Later in the evening I watched some hockey and baseball on TV and coded some pages for v7.
