Tulane vs. Southern Miss.

We saw patients at a pretty good clip this afternoon. I took the 4:40 shuttle to campus. I stopped at the bookstore before class to have a look at my textbooks. I saw Larry there and we spoke for a few minutes. This evening’s writing composition class was a discussion on two readings we were assigned on Monday, “The Everyday and Everydayness,” an essay by Henri Lefebvre and the first chapter of one of the textbooks. The first piece was a rambling mess in my opinion and I got some entertainment out of being mildly condescending and argumentative.Class was dismissed shortly after seven. I walked to Fogelman Arena after class to see Tulane’s basketball team play Southern Mississippi. I arrived a few minutes into the first half with USM leading 10-2. Their lead waxed and waned over the course of the game but I never saw Tulane in the lead. Tulane was mainly thwarted by their own shooting woes. Tulane didn’t hit a single three-pointer all game. For the most part they managed to keep hope alive in some of the final minutes, closing to a four point deficit. The final score was 61-54. I caught a cab home after the game.
