Good Night, and Good Luck |
I worked from one to five this afternoon. Dad got me to class this evening with plenty of time to spare. During this evening’s media and the law class, we watched Good Night, and Good Luck. It was a pretty good movie that I’d wanted to see for a good while. I took the shuttle downtown after class this evening. I did have to wait a bit for it though. I was the only one on the 7:50 this evening. I walked to the Sheraton when I arrived downtown. I was there a lot longer than usual as Dad was already on his way home when I got out of class and presumably had some things to do. I intended to get a drink when I got there but the bar was closed, apparently because they’re doing work on the floor. While I was waiting, I continued to work on my log a bit. I happened to be sitting next to a couple of other Tulane students, named Patricia and Tenicia, and I talked to them for a while. Dad arrived shortly after nine. I was a little more tired than usual that evening. I was going to get to bed around midnight but Ami called right before I got the lights out and we spoke for about an hour and half, largely about her recent trip across the border.
April 24: Festival Season
Nearly five months into the new year and here my first post of 2012. Over the last several months I lost one job and started looking for another one. I started going to the gym and exercising for the first time in my life. I thought I might lack the self discipline to keep up [...]
September 03: Denver in September
Today was the first of a five day trip to Denver with my friend Bianca. Tropical Storm Lee was moving towards the Louisiana coast today, bringing substantial but intermittent rain since yesterday. I wasn’t really worried about flight delays but I did think street flooding could keep us from the airport. The ride to the [...]
August 26: Progress
Nearly two months have passed since my last post. Seeing a June date on my homepage after all this time has finally compelled me to throw another entry on here. I had planned a nice little summary of my month of jury duty at Orleans Criminal District Court but I couldn’t muster the enthusiasm. I [...]
